I am very fair skinned, and over the years my natural freckles have faded and only come through after being in the sun for hours. I was about to give the light color a bad review when I search thr coments again and found one from a fellow fair beauty that said she would dab it with her finger after applying. I tried it and be damned it worked. The super dark spot faded to a realistic dot. I have oily skin and they stay on all day with sunglasses and maskes. Perfect, when this pen runs out I will buy again.
Update—
So I’ve placed the freckles in the same spot, only about 4-5 of them and then I realized they where not coming off. Have anyone else experienced this? What kind of ink is this? Permanent skin ink!?
I’ve used makeup remover, scrubs. I have not worn it for a good month and the same 5 are still visible.
I’m thankful I didn’t do my whole face. It is like a permanent skin ink? …. I still like my freckles , but I was a bit confused why it won’t come off… free permanent tattoo ***
It took me a while to figure out the technique but after watching you tube videos on how to apply the freckles, I was very pleased with this product. It says that it has 2 colors , but over all I didn’t see much of a difference in color.
Overall I was still happy because it made super cute freckles. Not one person has asked me if the freckles are real or not they assume they are real. Very authentic looking. I wear them daily and it’s also great as a gift for any makeup lover. I know I’ll be repurchasing this item and also grabbing more when Christmas comes around for gifts
I’ve been doing faux freckles with an eyebrow product and a tiny brush, and that worked fine but I was frustrated with how quickly it would wear off throughout the day. I just received the set of light and dark pens. I practiced first on the back of my hand and found that I had the best results with making small, light dots, then quickly blotting with my finger. This softens the color, and creates a very natural freckled look. I did try layering with the darker color, but for now I think I prefer the light color, since I am naturally very fair.As for how long it will wear, I’m optimistic. When I went to clean it off the back of my hand, the micellar water I usually use wasn’t quite cutting it, so I used a formula specifically for waterproof makeup, which did the trick.I don’t have especially oily or dry skin. I applied the freckles today over my makeup and setting powder, then dusted with a bronzer. I’m happy with it so far!For those reviewers complaining that this is a glorified sharpie, this is effectively a makeup marker. It makes for a very easy application. It has a very fine point, but it still takes a light touch not to end up with blobs all over your face as the tip is very saturated. There is no chemical smell, which is one huge difference between this and a sharpie, too. Overall, I’m happy with it and I’m happy to have found a good product to achieve a fun, sun kissed look... without the sun damage.
